A Deep Dish Slice of Heaven
In days of yore when there were four TV channels and we all thought chipotle was a country in South America; there were many commonalities between we citizens of the United States. We watched the same shows, listened to whatever was on the radio, and for the most part, ate the same food.
Now with cable/satellite TV, and the Internet, it seems we’ve all gone our separate socio-cultural ways, and that’s a good thing. But there is still one thing that still binds us all together, one treasured favorite that all Americans share a passion for and seemingly can’t live without. That thing is pizza.
Think I’m kidding? Last year Americans spent $22 billion on pizza and each and every citizen consumed an average of 46 slices (23 pounds). Numbers like that boggle the mind and we here at PRIME are hard to boggle. So this month, we decided to provide you, our reader, a public service by eating and reviewing the pizza offerings from every place in our fair city.
It was a dirty job, but damn it, we are that committed to investigative journalism and making sure you’re getting the best pie you can buy. After concluding our extensive research, we are strongly considering doing a story next month on how to buy a treadmill.
But I digress…
Also this month, the pro golf season has started and our pro Todd Kolb fearlessly predicts who will win the Ryder Cup and all four majors. Is this the year the Americans finally beat the Euros? My guess is we win only if Dr. Heimlich is named team physician.
Confused about what the difference is between Blue Ray discs and Hi-Def DVDs? I know I am. Scott Hudson comes to our rescue and breaks it down for us. It’s good to make friends with entertainment technology.
This and a lot more awaits you inside. Grab a slice and enjoy.
Cheers,
John
