March to the Gladness

The warm weather is still waiting in the wings, but one welcome sign of spring has arrived - the Sioux Falls Storm kick off their 2008 home schedule March 17th - otherwise known as St. Patrick’s  Day. In case you didn’t get the memo, the Storm have been pretty good the past few years. They haven’t lost a game since July of 2005 (38 straight wins) and have collected three straight league titles.

The Storm aren’t just a dynasty, they are damn near a monopoly. St. Patrick’s Day seems a fitting day for the Storm to launch their latest title defense. Celebrations just seem to follow this franchise around.

Also this month, Mr. Know It-All gives you the low-down on how to stop being a serial contributor when it comes to your NCAA tournament pool. His advice will fireproof your bracket and earn you some newfound respect among your co-workers. I’m not saying they were laughing at you before, but yes, they were laughing at you before.

This month we also share with you or here-to-fore top-secret Bloody Mary recipe. It’s been classified for years but we’ve finally decided to tell you…and we’re not even going to kill you afterward.

We also hear from Mark Cartwright on his feelings about the Ides of March, Ted Heeren keeps it rural by visiting the Farm Show, and our finance gurus help you prepare for the coming of the taxman.

Although it may not feel like it yet, Spring is on the way, the Storm are playing, and the green grass can’t be far behind. Here’s to you and yours. Let March Gladness begin!

Cheers,
John
