The Dixon builds on the simple and functional Otis platform, with the addition of 6 more gears and a rear disc brake. Just like the Otis, the shifting is intuitive and easy with the elegant twist-shifter. If you have steep hills to climb, the additional gears will make it easy.

We jumped at the chance to be the first kids on the block to get the all-new SRAM I-Motion 9. The first 9-speed internal gear hub on the market, it shifts precisely over a wide gear range, under load or standing. The benefits of internal hubs are mostly hidden, which masks the beauty, simplicity and zero-maintenance of not having two derailleurs; and multiple chainrings, cogs and shift-levers.

The Swobo purpose-designed alloy frame and fork are light and tough and are designed to withstand urban abuse. Threaded eyelets on the forged dropouts and on the square-section chainstay and seatstay bridges accept racks and fenders. We designed the frames for a discrete fit of the rear disc, to accommodate rack and fender stays.

Front and rear Avid mechanical disc brakes, custom Swobo saddle, grips, seat collars, and machined alloy handlebar end caps; seat post with integrated tail light and puncture-resistant street tires complete the spec. Rear rack and Planet Bike fenders are options available with the bike, and are shown here. We let you decide. We make 5 sizes to fit most people.

We like the elegance, simplicity and zero-maintenance of the SRAM I-Motion 3-speed hub. We also like the elegance, simplicity and smooth ride of classic steel frames. Put them together and Novak is the happy result. The 700C wheel size delivers a zippy ride with a downtown frame and fork style.

We designed the frame and fork to accept wide tires and fenders. The front and rear rims brakes easily accommodate the puncture-resistant 700 x 28C tires and Planet Bike 35C fenders. Optional fenders and rear rack mount discretely to our Swobo custom threaded forged dropouts. A 3M reflective strip on the tires illuminates the whole wheel when light hits it, for better visibility in city traffic when night riding.

Rounding out the city-style package is an integrated rear tail light, bolt-on rear wheel and locking front quick-release, custom Swobo grips, saddle, chainguard and machined alloy handlebar end plugs. Novak is available in 5 sizes, with or without fenders.

We designed the Otis around the SRAM 3-speed coaster brake hub after we rode that hub for the first time. We were that fired up. There are few bikes more simple, obvious, practical and versatile than an urban/suburban/bourbon 3-speed with twist shifter.

The frame and fork are based on the tough, oversize round and box section shapes of the Folsom, but with bosses for water bottles, rear racks and rear fenders. Geometry is slightly less laid-back. A front mechanical disc brake will stop you in any type of weather, in conjunction with the precision SRAM German coaster brake in the rear. The fast, puncture-resistant street tires have a siped tread pattern to shed water.

Internal geared hubs have the benefit of almost zero maintenance or vulnerability to damage, unlike a bike with derailleurs. You can drop the bike on the right side, where the derailleur isn’t, and not damage the shifting mechanism. Impervious to the elements and intuitive to operate, the three speeds can tackle everything.

Swobo component details include the custom fork, saddle, grips, seat collars and handlebar end caps.

Matte Black finish matches any outfit. Five sizes, including 16.5” step-through design, fit almost everyone. Simple.

Legendary Reynolds steel is our frame material of choice, with 631 air-hardened steel for the Elite and 520 chrome-moly for the Aurora. For smooth, stealthy speed it’s tough to beat Coda and Coda Sport. At this price level, we buck the fashion towards big-tubed, plain gauge aluminum, which can be a bit harsh and unforgiving over bumps, and we stick with Reynolds double-butted steel, trading a few ounces for vastly improved comfort. It’s such a smart compromise, and one we know you’ll appreciate after your very first ride, that it shouldn’t even be labeled “compromise”.

A full brace of rack and fender mounts lets you outfit the Coda series to suit your needs—kit it out with a rack for running errands without the sweaty backside a backpack brings. Or add fenders to keep your work clothes spotless as the miles scroll by beneath those smooth-rolling Vittoria road tires.

And those miles will pass quickly. Trigger shifters put you in charge of a triple-chainring 24 or 27-speed drivetrain so you’ll have super-low, easy-to-spin gears for the uphill sections with plenty of tall, fast gearing to take advantage of tailwinds and downhill stretches.
