Questions consumers ask every time they prepare to make any purchase, but always gets asked about cars - and now it will be asked about power sport products.Since 2002, Power Brokers mission has been to help their customers, both buyers and sellers, make informed decisions regarding the sale or purchase of a powersports product. They strive for fair and just compensation in all transactions, while doing their best to treat each and every customer with the same kindness and respect with which they expect to be treated.

And, along with respect, expect experience. “June was my 20 year anniversary selling power sports equipment. I have been involved with several other dealerships and decided to go out on my own and start Power Brokers in 2002,” said Jim LeTendre, founder and owner of Power Brokers, Inc.

“We want people to make a good, educated decision when it comes to buying a motorcycle. Some people have said that riding a motorcycle instead of driving a car, to save money on gas, makes sense. We think that that only makes sense if you have had a prior interest in motorcycling and want to ride one in addition to driving your car. After all, we live in South Dakota. There are a number of days with our weather where motorcycles aren’t much fun to ride. Riding a motorcycle can definitely save a little money on gas and is a great way to have fun. My wife and I rode 140 miles one weekend for about $14 and had a great time. But, to replace your car with a motorcycle as a sole means of transportation would be very difficult.”

So how does the process work? “What we draw a parallel to, in explaining how Power Brokers works, is we are the referees of the ball game. Between the buyer and the seller, we make sure each party is represented equally and the transaction is fair for everyone. We want both sides to have a positive experience.”

Jim adds, “We want people to feel comfortable coming in to talk to us. We want customers to feel like they have a friend in the consignment business. They can throw a leg over a bike, with considerable savings over purchasing new, and try it out.”

And, if the product isn’t just right, they can help with that, too. “If they find motorcycling is not for them, they can bring the bike back and we can help them re-sell it. We can generally save people 20-25% percent over buying new and the additional accessories someone else already spent the money on are already there,” said LeTendre.
